Skiers at the Top of a Snow-covered Hill by Frits Thaulow

A contemporary and friend of Christian Krohg, Frits Thaulow was one of the earliest to paint in Skagen (although not part of the Skagen group mentioned in earlier posts). He is mostly known for his landscapes, of which many are exquisite snowscapes, like this one.
